Grandmaster Elshan Moradiabadi brings a rare blend of elite playing strength, deep academic insight, and an unmatched passion for teaching to Evolution Chess Academy.
Born in Iran during a time when chess was banned, Elshan learned the game under challenging circumstances—an experience that shaped his life’s mission: to provide others with the opportunities and mentorship he once lacked.
Today, he is a dedicated coach, fierce competitor, acclaimed author, and thought leader in the global chess community.
Elshan holds multiple academic degrees, including an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies and an MBA from Texas Tech University, as well as a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
His academic rigor mirrors his analytical approach to chess—meticulous, methodical, and always evolving :)

Woman Grandmaster Sabina Foisor brings decades of international chess experience, a deep passion for teaching, and a strong academic foundation to Evolution Chess Academy.
Born into a chess family in Romania, Sabina was raised in an environment of strategy, study, and competition—both of her parents were International Masters. She learned chess at age four and quickly rose through the ranks, winning numerous national and European youth titles. In 2007, she earned the title of Woman Grandmaster and shortly after accepted a full scholarship to study in the United States.
Sabina holds a BA in Modern Languages and Linguistics and a Master's in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has proudly represented the United States at five Women's Chess Olympiads and four Women's World Team Championships. Her most celebrated achievement came in 2017, when she won the U.S. Women’s Chess Championship, a powerful and emotional victory that highlighted her resilience and strength.
